I came up with some tips that might help your next visit to Plitvice lakes. 💧Dont visit in the summer, it is the busiest time a year here with literally thousands of tourists. The best time to go is spring and fall.
💧You have to come as early as possible. If you are with the car, arrive by 7am (opening time in summer). If you are going by public transport arrive the night before, you can stay in camps that are pretty cheap and get the staff bus to the park early in the morning from anywhere on the highway.
💧Dont take any tours...there is just no point to be with the group here, plus if you get a tour from big cities like Zadar and Zagreb you arrive at noon- the busiest time for the park 💧Bring your student card, they have great discounts for students, or wear no make up and lie that you forgot it in the hotel 😊
💧The are tons of routes that you can follow, my fav ones are those that take you up the hill. There you can take great pictures from above and people will think that you have drone (my shot from yesterday)
💧You can spend here the whole day, but 3 hours was enough for me. This place is like a museum, you can see but you cant touch. It is amazing, unique, awesome...but after some time I got tired of walking around in designated areas, as I like to climb stuff, run around, swim and here this is not allowed due to a very vulnerable grounds. 💧There are boats and buses that you can use inside the park by showing ur ticket. Since I got in the park before opening hours I had no ticket, so I had to lie each time that I was separated with my mom and I need to find her on the other side. Worked for me and saving 25€ really helped my budget, but could be quite stressful for others, so better buy a ticket 😊 #croatia #visitcroatia
